Fireplace & Mantle

This fireplace needed an update from the 90's square tile and recessed shelf, and the client wanted natural materials with a modern cleanliness and simplicity. She selected a ledger stone slate material, but wanted it installed vertically (rather than the more typical horizontal installation). For the mantle, a very simple but substantial piece of reclaimed timber. The corner nook was tied into the design with built-in reclaimed timber shelves to match the mantle.
